دراسة أثر المتغيرات النقدية على سعر صرف الدينار الجزائري مقابل الدولار 2003- الأمريكي خلال الفترة 1974

Abstract

The goal of this study is to determine the effects of monetary variables (Consumer Prices Index, Real Money Balance and Discount Rate) upon the Algerian Dinar exchange rate against United States Dollar during the period 1974-2003. Using both Partial Adjustment and Polynomial-distributed-lag Models. Results showed that the only variable that effects the Algerian Dinar exchange rate is the consumer price index, and the long-run exchange rate elasticity is bigger than the short-run elasticity. In addition, the time path of the exchange rate satisfies the equilibrium stability condition.
