dc.description.abstract | The last year witnessed a considerable growth in many manufacturing units, service entities and worldwide economic concentration, either due to acquisitions or mergers between establishments and companies, which lead to the rise of competitive markets in most part of the world in its different shapes and forms, such as dominant competition, oligopoly (limited competition), the exclusive agency agreements and other monopoly trade practices. Therefore the UAE competition law no.4 of 2012 was enacted to protect the legitimate competition and prohibit the dominant (monopoly) practice in UAE market to control the market’s mechanisms and enhance its efficiency. The study concluded to the necessity of providing an effective legal system to manage market mechanism and dominant practice through the provisions of the said laws to create a fair, free and equal competition to protect the consumer and the producer. | en_US |
