dc.description.abstract | This work involves the creation of a soil database in the Ouargla region. It aims to show the potential of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in the mapping of soils in our region. The methodological approach consists in routinely sampling 300 soil samples from the surface horizon in a regular grid pattern. The results show that Ouargla soils have a sandy texture with an average of 97.87%. A fraction of fine fraction observed in the North of alluvial origin. The moisture of the soils is 2.29%. The pH is neutral to slightly alkaline, due to the presence of limestone on the surface. The average of the EC is 5.13dS / cm, this is due to the salt content of the drainage waters. The total limestone is omnipresent with an average of 3.34%. These thematic maps can play an important role in the understanding of soils and their technical management in order to better manage the environment. | - |
