dc.description.abstract | Sand dunes account for 40% of the area of Algeria however, It s exploitation is limited to traditional applications, and construction, and because the sand contains important chemical elements such as quartz used in modern applications and industries opens a wide area for study and analysis scientifically. The main objective of this work is to study the physical and chemical properties of sand dunes of the area of Taibat، using some physical، chemical and x-ray)DRX( methods where the results showed that sand dunes of Taibat characterized by a good granular gradient and a high purity of up to 86.19% the results of the chemical analysis showed that the sand of the sand of the studied area contains 10% of calcium carbonate، 7.31% gypsum، 1% sulfur dioxide، 88.69% non- dissolved matters such as quartz and some other components. X-ray diffraction technique confirmed there salts obtained from chemical analysis that sand is mainly composed of quartz and a signification proportion of calcium carbonate and gypsum | en_US |
