dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study was to get Initial investigation of medicinal plant called zizyphus lotus, which used in the treatment of many diseases in traditional medicine . Chromatographic studies of butanol extract showed that there is great possibility of existence of flavonoid compounds such as flavone, flavonol, dihydroflavone and chalcone ... etc. On other hand, we have investigated the efficiency of acid extract ( HCl 1%) on corrosion inhibition of carbonic steel (XC 52) , using Tafel's Method, it could be observed that the values of efficiency were gradually increased with the increase in concentration of Traganum nodatum leaves extract, reaching a maximum value of73.47.% it could also be concluded from the range of R % (54.4-64.99%) generated by the Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy measurements, that the values of inhibition's efficacy were gradually increased with the increase in concentration of Traganum nodatum leaves extract, reaching a maximum value of 64.99.%. the antibacterial effectiveness study of butanol extract and ethyl acetate gave medium values for some bacterium-
