dc.description.abstractThis study aims to determine the effectiveness of teaching the course Introduction to Special Education in improving attitudes towards the disabled in a sample of Ajloun National University students. The experimental methodology was used on the one group style. The attitude scale towards the disabled was applied before and after on the students .In which was developed by Abdul Muttalib Al- Qureaiti (1992). It consists of (60) bullets distributed over the following three dimensions: dimension of the characteristics and value of disabled persons, dimension of the formation of relationships and social interaction and dimension of care and education of the disabled persons while teaching Introduction to Special Education course. The study shows the following results: -The students' attitudes towards disabled persons were negative. -The absence of statistically significant differences (α=0.05) due to gender variable in all dimensions and in the tool as a whole. - The existence of statistically significant differences (α=0.05) between the pre-application and post-application of the sample of the study on the attitude scale towards the disabled in all dimensions, in the total score and the differences were in favor of the post-application.en_US
