Lichens are fungi mainly Ascomycetes that live in association with a population of green algae or cyanobacteria. They are considered as biological indicators to analyse the fate and health of forest ecosystems. The present work consists of inventing epiphytic lichens in the Chrea forest, and using them as bio-indicators for the estimation of air quality. After the choice of the five study stations according to their phorophyte and their altitude, a lichenic survey is carried out. After the choice of the five study stations according to their phorophyte and their altitude, a lichenic survey is carried out. The estimation of the air quality is determined according to the method of KIRSCHBAUM and WIRTH. Lichen diversity showed the presence of 16 species with an abundance of 52 lichens. As for the estimation of the air quality, the calculation of the index reveals the dominance of two high and medium classes.en_US
