dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study is to determine if the children of divorced families who participated in the emotional intelligence preventive training program show development in the emotions awareness skills; study sample consisted 20 children from divorced families (8 to 10) years in primary schools for the city of Ouargla, They have been division to experimental and a control groups, The instruments were emotional intelligence questionnaire (TEIQue-CSF) after its development to used in the Algerian environment and the emotional intelligence preventive training program, the experimental group participated in a 33 stand training during 15 Week, Assessment the impact of the program on the development of emotions awareness skills it was done by pre-test and post-test immediately and by one month after the end of the program, The data were analysed by mean, standard deviation, independent sample t-test and paired sample t-test, after the intervention the emotions awareness mean scores of the group experimental was higher than the control group in the post-test with a statistical significance (0.01 = α), the mean scores of the experimental group in the post-test higher than the mean scores of pre-test which is statistically significant (0.01 = α). Results were discussed and put some theoretical concepts that will improve the psychological well-being of the children of divorced familiesen_US
