dc.description.abstract | Neoliberalism is a theoretical product of academic researchers, starting at Mises, Hayek, Friedman, and Popper. Those who defended the liberal values against the ideological advance of the left, whether it is socialism or the welfare state. The neoliberals, except the Ordoliberals, promoted radical ideas that defend the efficiency of “market doctrine”, based on “laissez- faire” principle; they believe that the state should withdraw from economic field as an economic agent, and from the social front as a distributor of income (minimal State). The rise of neoliberalism with the 1970s due to the crisis of the welfare state, at a time when signs of economic openness and globalization’s portents started. After the neoliberal domination as paradigm for three decades, the 2007 financial crisis introduced this model to the crisis phase, and it seems necessary to raise a new intellectual debate about capitalism | en_US |
