dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to propose a counseling program based on Albert Ellis’ rationale –emotive theory in order to overcome psychological stress resulting from (Covid-19) of students who are about to take the baccalaureate exam. Two group sessions lasting each between 45 and 60 minutes were conducted per week during 12 weeks. During these group sessions we used different cognitive techniques such as dialogue, discussion, analysis of illogical and irrational ideas , inhibition of ideas, mental and emotional imager)self-directed imagery relaxation), cognitive reconstruction besides some emotional techniques such as the empty chair technique, the technique of fun, humor and irony and finally some behavioral techniques which include doing homework , muscle relaxation, enhancement of rational knowledge ,and feedbacken_US
