Algerian Review of Economic Developmenten_US
This research aims at highliting the reforms undertaken by the Algerian state for the purpose of evaluating the performance of public economic institutions and to show the effect of internal and external control bodies on some indicators of measuring the internal and external performance of this type of institutions. On the basis of this research, it can be said that these efforts and reforms have not succeeded to a large extent in raising and improving the performance of public economic institutions on the ground. As a result, this research came up with a set of recommendations especially about the necessity of moving forward with the privatization policy for some institutions which suffer from structural deficits and the application of governance rules to institutions whose performance can be evaluated through internal procedures. In addition to giving more independence to the frameworks of public economic institutions in making appropriate decisions and lifting the criminalization of management errors.en_US
