لقد سعت هذه الدراسة إلىتقديم نموذج للرواية الجزائرية التي واجهت الخطاب الكولونيالي في مرحلة الثلاثينيات، وهي رواية مريم بين النخيل التي قاومت سياسة الإدماج، و جسدت لنا من خلال مشاهد البؤس والحرمان والتهميش التي تعرض لها الجزائريون إدعاءات فرنسا أنها إنما جاءت إلى هذا البلد من أجل تحضيره وتنويره كما بينت الدراسة الأنساق الثقافية المضمرة التي تختفي من وراء بنية النص اللغوية
