Abstract

Through this article, we seek to clarify the relationship between national identity and information and communication technology by answering the following question, "Does media and communication technology affect identity negatively by producing new identities?, The study reached results, including that information and communication technology have had profound effects on its users, through their association with it as a means or through exposure to the contents that it broadcasts or promotes, as it eliminated the geographical barrier, In order to preserve and fortify the national identity from the effects of digital technology, systematic methods and mechanisms must be developed to protect it from extinction and decay, such as paying more attention to culture and its components
