Abstract: | After thousands of Moroccans took to streets to demand constitutional change and farther restrictions to King’s power , as a result of the 20th February movement , the king called for the convening of advisory committee to revise the constitution and make reforms to calm those angry crowds . In this paper we try to investigate whether these reforms advanced Morocco towards full democratic transition under the government of ABDEL-ILAH BENKIRAN (2011-2016).The conclusion of this research is that these reforms succeeded in avoiding the results that affected other Arab spring countries , gave the angry mob some changes including enlarging the power of executive , legislative and jucial prances while reserving considerable power for the king and this was due to the weakness of BENKIRAN governments in the face of those big challenges . |
