dc.description.abstractIn our paper, we focus on the introduction of Eastern aspects into Western culture through the literature. By its ambition and its originality Sefrioui makes us discover the Moroccan society of the beginning of the 20th century: tradi-tion, way of life and ritual with a spiritual perfume of exoticism that comes from the ethnographic document. This reading extends us into the political framework of this era but differently because the reality was masked. This is why we are made to believe in a lack of commitment or lack of interest in the occupier.
