dc.description.abstract | f man constantly wonders about his existence, literature does not answer this question despite all attempts to make it speak. Literature is not a sum of models of existence; literature is only a mirror that reflects the vices and virtues of men through their actions and their words. Literature is a word to listen and a saying to read. Literature is the explicit commitment of some men of genius to want to educate men and raise them in a concern for justice and equity. However, people refuse the reproach and the advice. That is why writers and poets have imposed the metaphor throughout the ages of history. Ibn Muqaffa’understood it very well. It is the eternal message of kalila and dimna where the animal gives lessons of life to people without any pretension. Everyone listens to the animal because no one takes his word seriously. Here lies the strength of the animal symbolism which first conquers hearts and finally intelligences | en_US |
