dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study is to reveal the level of effectiveness of teaching physics using metacognitive thinking skills in acquiring scientific concepts among high school students and developing their motivations towards learning physical sciences. The researcher followed the semi-experimental curriculum, where the study was applied to a sample of (59) students from the second year of high school from the experimental sciences department at " Sheikh Omar Al-Mokhtar " secondary school in Ain El Hadjel -Wilaya of M'sila- The sample was divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group, The researcher prepared a test for the acquisition of scientific concepts, as well as measuring the motivation to learn physical science prepared by Katami (1998) as well as a professor guide, The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences between the two groups in the test of the acquisition of scientific concepts as well as in the measure of motivation towards learning physical sciences in favor of the experimental group.en_US
