| en_US |
dc.description.abstract | This study is a contribution to the development of Saharan medicinal plants, Olea europaea and Tamarix gallica widely used in traditional herbal medicine to prevent and treat various diseases. The dosage of total phenols, flavonoids, total and condensed tannins of the hydroethanolic extracts from the aerial parts of these plants were carried out by colorimetric methods. T. gallica is the richest in total phenols (119.44 ± 32.08 mg EAG/g DM), total tannins (94.81 ± 26.12 mg EAT/g DM) and condensed tannins (01.43 ± 0.16 mg ECT / g DM). Flavonoids are more important in those of O. europaea (20.23 ± 1.16 mg EQ/g DM). The evaluation of the antioxidant activity was carried out by the test of phosphomolybdate and ABTS, the results showed that T. gallica is the most effective in reducing molybdenum with 80.82 ± 05.69 mg/ g and the ABTS°+ with IC50 equal to (23 ± 03.13 μg/ml). The method of antibiogram on discs was used to research the antibacterial activity, the extracts of these two plants T. gallica and O. europaea have an inhibitory effect against Listeria monocytogenes. On the contrary, Bacillus Subtilis and Escherichia Coli are insensitive to these extracts. | - |
