Age et croissance d’un mollusque bivalve Anodonta anatina (Linnaeus, 1758) de barrage El Agrem de Jijel

Cette étude est consacrée à l’identification et la détermination de l’âge des Unionidae du barrage El Agrem de la région de Jijel. Sur un échantillon totale de 74 individus nous avons identifié 2 genres de la famille Unionidae (Anodonta et Sinanodonta) rattachés à 3 espèces (A. anatina (60,52 %), A. cygnea (26,31 %) et S. woodina (13,15 %)). Le genre Anodonta dominance avec environ 87 %. L’âge d’A. anatina est déterminé par la lecture directe des stries de croissance externes et internes des coquilles en utilisant la méthode du rétrocalcul. La population échantillonnée se compose de 5 groupes d’âge (4+ à 9+). La croissance de la mulette de rivière a été bien décrite par le modèle classique de Von Bertalanffy. L’indice de performance(φ) montre une croissance relativement faible de la population locale. La croissance relative de cette espèce est globalement minorante (b = 2,45).

This study is devoted to the identification and age determination of the Unionidae of the El Agrem Dam in the Jijel region. Out of a total sample of 74 individuals, we identified 2 genera of the family Unionidae (Anodonta and Sinanodonta) belonging to 3 species (A. anatina (60.52%), A. cygnea (26.31%) and S. woodina (13.15%)). The genus Anodonta dominates with about 87%. The age of A. anatina is determined by the direct reading of the outer and inner growth streaks of the shells using the backcalculation method. The sampled population consists of 5 age groups (4+ to 9+). The growth of the river mussel has been well described by the classic Von Bertalanffy model. The performance index (φ) shows relatively low growth in the local population. The relative growth of this species is generally minor (b = 2.45).
