Abstract: In this work, we studied well test interpretation methods and their importance in the oil industry. The aim of well testing is to obtain essential information about the well and the reservoir by interpreting these measurements to understand their conditions. We used both traditional and modern interpretation methods and explained important concepts such as flow equations and the diffusivity equation. We also discussed factors affecting production, such as permeability and skin factor. In the case study, we analyzed DST Build-Up test results for well RC-5 in the Rodh El Nos field using the Saphir software. The results showed low permeability and a negative skin factor, leading us to recommend measures to improve the well's productivity.
