dc.description.abstractIn the present study on birds in the Sahel of Algiers, 78 species of birds are identified, belonging to 56 genus, 35 families and 15 orders, including Passeriformes dominate with 43 species (55.1%). The number of species varies depending on the area. It is 51 in the bush and forests, 67 in parks and gardens and 54 in Réghaïa. We classified birds according to the types of biogeographical origin, phenology and trophic. Fourteen types biogeographicals origins are represented in the avifauna of the Sahel of Algiers. 75.3% of them belong to the large Palearctic region. The 78 species belong to 5 phenological status, 46.1% are sedentary and 38.5% are migratory. These birds are divided into seven trophic 7 categories, including insectivores (32.1%) and polyphagous (32.1%) dominate.en_US
