dc.description.abstractNegative effects of occupational stress cost to the different organizations and societies over the world important losses. During a European ministerial conference on mental health in the European Union-15 (2004), the World Health Organization has estimated these losses between 3 and 4% of GDP. The purpose of this paper is to illustrate how stress affects the organization performance. By analyzing the main components of this process, including its sources, effects and coping strategies; it would be shown how important is to deeply study stress in our organizations, in order to reduce the costs every organization has to bear because of it.en_US
