Abstract

this speech is a part of an extensive study in which I put emphasis on the deliberative (pragmatic) principles in the book entitled "Al-idah fi 'ulum al-balaghah" by Imam Jalal al-Din al-Qazwini. As the most prominent aspect of these principles is the Speech Act , I tried to trace the existence of this linguistic phenomenon, its principles, manifestations and premises at the Imam Qazwini as being dealt with in the West focusing on the main aspects of convergence, divergence and contrast
