Abstract

Corporate governance concept has become a central word to economic development in all regional and international organizations, especially after a series of financial crises that hit many companies in developed countries, as shown by these landslides cascading that major companies around the world that were claiming a sense of honesty were only a bubble faded soon with the fading of court oversight concept of its performance, so the interest of this concept increased in line with the appearance of structural adjustment programs application field which aims to create sustainable development. Many researchers adopted the multiple corporate governance concepts, its properties, and its principles that must be adhered to establish this concept and achieve objectives of its application. In this study we aim to identify the theoretical framework of corporate governance, and the French experience in adopting this concept, through a review of the most important reports that have been issued in French for reform in the field of corporate governance during the period between 1995 -2003.
