Our experiment consists to carry out a synchronization of heat and artificial insemination on some introduced goats to improve the caprine breeding practices. First, 2 batches were made up identically and each one included 30 goats of Saanen race which had been subjected to a short progestin treatment before the covering as such. Subsequently, the females of the first batch were prepared for the artificial insemination by a forzen preserved semen. The second batch was subjected to natural covering. The first experimental phase revealed a favourable result concerning the synchronization of heats with all the females of the 2 batches. In addition, the reproduction performances showed a convincing result using the artificial insemination. This has been revealed through the zootechnical parameters which reinforce the efficiency of such a technique, but not the natural covering. Since we can anticipate that the use of artificial insemination is a way to maintain or increase the genetic potential of goats.en_US
