Résumé: The Arab Renaissance witnessed major political, social, and cultural transformations, during which multiple urban movements and currents emerged. These movements, however, differed in their visions and orientations according to the concept of urban modernity advocated by the proponents of Enlightenment thought, who soon assumed the responsibility of disseminating and defending their Enlightenment ideas. Narrative discourse played a significant role in the literature of the Arab Renaissance, as the primary cultural arena through which the urban consciousness of Renaissance pioneers opened up to the world was the translation of well-known creative works of foreign literatures and the circulation of narrative texts among readers. Undoubtedly, the rational imagination of Renaissance translators, together with the historical context to which they were connected, prompted them to avoid complex and problematic narrative zones and instead to select narrative spaces associated with suspense and adventure. Accordingly, one of the most important roles played by the novel during the Renaissance—particularly in relation to Enlightenment thought—was giving voice to silenced radical ideas embraced by the avant-garde of the period. These ideas reflected both a rupture with the persistent foundations of a legacy of backwardness and an aspiration toward the promises of a coming era grounded in the requirements of urban progress sought by free thought. In fulfilling this role, the novel had to learn how to maneuver around the forms of repression characteristic of its age, drawing on past creative experience to employ allegorical representations and to navigate narrative indirection and metaphorical displacement. Moreover, the Renaissance novel benefited from its own literary heritage as a tradition distinguished by what may be described as the rhetoric of the oppressed. It also drew on the achievements of European narrative forms, particularly allegorical fiction and symbolic narrative, adopting an Aesopian mode of language capable of articulating suppressed discourse in political, social, intellectual, and religious spheres. Allegorical narrative thus exerted a profound influence on the fiction of Francis Fathallah Marrash, especially in his novel Ghabat al-Haqq, which constitutes the focus of this study, as well as on the works of Farah Antun, Ahmad Faris al-Shidyaq, and other pioneers of the Arab Renaissance. These writers found in the novel an effective medium for expression; some turned to utopian writing, while others produced narratives infused with philosophical spirit—what may be termed philosophical literature—whose impact is clearly evident in representing the era and its social problems. Keywords: Arab Renaissance; Ghabat al-Haqq; Allegorical Narrative; Enlightenment Thought; Age of Enlightenment

Résumé: n light of the rapid developments sweeping through the digital environment and generative artificial intelligence applications, children's literature faces a pivotal challenge that touches the very essence of its creative process and educational objectives. A growing research gap emerges regarding the extent to which automated algorithms can respond to the identity and value-based specificities of the Arab child (taking the Algerian child as a case study), particularly amidst an increasing reliance on tools embedded with Western cultural biases that threaten to alienate the young receiver's identity and reinforce technological dependency. Furthermore, this problematic issue is not confined to cultural responsiveness; it extends to pose profound epistemological and aesthetic questions concerning the limits of artificial intelligence in simulating "emotional intelligence" and human empathy within story narrative, as well as the capacity of algorithmically woven texts to forge a genuine emotional connection with the child compared to pure human creativity. Given the scarcity of empirical studies measuring the impact of this technological output on children's behavior and cognitive comprehension, this study seeks to diagnose the dimensions of this gap. It aims to propose a theoretical and applied framework that integrates human creative intuition with the generative capabilities of artificial intelligence—thereby ensuring technical efficiency without compromising the cultural authenticity and emotional depth essential for child upbringing. Keywords Children’s Literature; Generative Artificial Intelligence; Emotional Intelligence; Cultural Identity; Algorithmic Narrative; Cultural Alienation

Résumé: There were no years of drought for a people as the Iraqis experienced during the Baath regime in the nineties of the twentieth century (1991-2003), and many writers dealt with this era in narrative and poetry, and in this study we will quickly stop at a collection of poetry belonging to the prose poem, by the writer Zaid Al-Shaheed, which came Titled (Mom and Pants), Despite the limited space of this collection, it is rich in its topics and stylistic tools, in addition to its connotations that are scattered far and wide. It covered an important era in the history of Iraq and experienced the plight of its people in the senseless wars, as well as the economic blockade. In studying this text, we employed the semiotic approach, so it came The study is entitled (The (Mother and Pants) Collection, a semiotic study), and it reached results including: - The poet's texts are subject to the tools of the semiotic approach, which is based on the square, semantic opposition, and semiotic conjunction. - The analysis was based on the factor structure that Kreimas came up with introduced in his semiotic theory, and the poet’s texts were subject to this structure as a whole, which is characterized by effectiveness in analyzing literary texts. - The poet relied a lot on subterranean cultural patterns by employing what leads to semantic revelation based on the superficial structures that point to those structures. - The clarity of the subjective element in the poet’s texts, and this takes away from the essence of the poetic text, but this subjectivity is a collective subjectivity that tells the story of a collective individual. - The dominance of semiotic synergy over all of the poet’s texts. He did not come to the meaning alone, but rather reinforced it with multiple connotations that were more influential

Résumé: This research focuses on studying imagination, a fundamental component of literary texts in general and the short story in particular. It illuminates its meanings and critical perceptions regarding it to understand its role in stimulating creativity and enriching creative experiences. It then examines the relationship between imagination and the elements of narrative structure. These elements, in their multiplicity and diversity, are built upon imagination and benefit from its capabilities in consolidating creative texts, thus crystallizing the presence of the event, constructing the setting, and revealing the fictional character. Finally, it discusses the mechanisms of imagination formation in various models of the Arabic short story—stories that affirmed the role and functions of imagination in shaping the creativity of the short story. The research began with imagination as an intellectual tool and an aesthetic mechanism with a theoretical foundation, transforming it into a formative technique. This approach integrates the intellectual with the literary, and the theoretical with the practical. Understanding imagination is not usually achieved through theoretical study alone, but rather is completed systematically through practical application. This is the approach adopted by the research in the field of Arabic narrative literature, specifically the short story in its realistic and experimental forms. The research reveals the qualitative features and elements that contribute to enriching the field of short story narrative and organizing its themes. This approach is also adopted in examining Arabic short story writing as it strives to understand reality and advance its knowledge, just as it seeks to imagine what lies beyond reality and explore its various meanings. The experimental short story, in particular, aimed to understand and elevate its knowledge
