Résumé: This study concerned the larvicidal activity of Citrullus colocynthis aqueous fruit extract on the two species of mosquitoes larvae (Culex pipiens and Culiseta longiareolata) breeding in the laboratory, in 2014 of the Laghouat region. The preliminary results showed that used extract has a high efficiency compared to natural substances of plant or microbial origin. This efficiency is expressed by the calculated toxicologicalparameters which are successively LC50 and LC90, with 3.83 and 5.20 mg/L for Culex pipiens and 5.05 and 5.64 mg/L for Culiseta longiareolata

Résumé: The wheat, formerly cultivated in the oases of Sahara becomes more and more rare. According to people resources, some cultivars are extinct. This work joins within the context of the evaluation of cereal genetics resources in Saharan regions of Algeria. It is about the characterization of five cultivars of durum wheat (Triticum durum Desf.). The experimental study was conducted at research station of Sidi Mehdi, Touggourt. The experimental design was a randomized complete block with four replications. Thirteen biometric characters and heading stage date are tested. Principal Component Analysis illustrates distinct variation between cultivars from the same region. Some of them present good characters such as: high yield and early heading stage. This demonstrates the crucial interest of preserving these cultivars to exploit their genetic potential in a breeding program

Résumé: Three halophytes from El Oued (Atriplex halimus L., Sueda mollis, Zygophyllum album) which are preferentially grazed by camels, and in addition to the hay of vetch-oats (a reference control substrate), have been analyzed in order to determine their nutritional value for camels. Our study is based on the evaluation of their nutritional potential by measuring the fermentability in vitro by ruminal microbiota of camels.&#xD;
The results of the in vitro rumen fermentation by dromedary microbiota show that, with the exception of Z album, the total gas production, generated by the anaerobic degradation of these substrates, is relatively high compared to that of the reference substrate, contrary to most other domestic ruminants, to which most of studies mention that in vitro gas production is negatively influenced by the fiber content of foods and their content of secondary compounds.These results could be explained either by the fact that our tested substrates contain a highly digestible fiber fraction, or by the digestive and metabolic use capacity of camelin ruminal microbiota of this type of feed, or by the combination of these factors

    <title>VARIABILITÉ DES PARAMETRES MORPHOLOGIQUES CHEZ L’OLIVIER ET RELATIONS CORRELATIVES</title>

Résumé: This work was carried out in northern Tunisia on a varietal collection of olive (Olea europaea L.) to analyze the variability of growth parameters with regard to variety. The morphological parameters of 29 olive varieties cultivated intensively under drip irrigation were studied, through regular monitoring on trees, shoots and leaves. Statistical relationships were established between the studied parameters and with their ecartypes in order to evaluate their variability. Results showed large differences between varieties and even trees and that most growth parameters are inter-correlated. Particularly, tree height was highly correlated to canopy diameter and trunk height. Soil coverage, which evolved between 15.4% (2010) and 21.6% (2013), was significantly correlated to olive production. Such results show that even varieties are growing under the same conditions, they don’t valorize them similarly. These differences should be considered when planting multi-varietal orchards to get harmonious groves. A particular attention should be attributed to soil coverage, which is an essential component to determine the irrigation crop water needs
