Résumé: In the Sahara areas, the use of the products of the date palm occupies a great importance in the various
fields.
The study carried out on diagnosis the use of the product of the date palm in medicine traditional and cosmetic in
the area of Ouargla allowed use releases several results:
Traditional medicine is still used specially among the old people and housewifes. The most products used are:
the dates of Ghars variety, pollen, seeds and heart. Their preparations are advised for children and women
pregnant, been confined and nursing; and to treat diseases like the digestive diseases, pulmonary, sterility,
diabetes bleeding of the nose and hypertension.
The recourse to these therapies is often for economic reasons and for their effective.
The beauty products are used especially in the young people who have a medium living level. The products of
aesthetics are prepared by: dates, pollen, seeds and they treat the skin dries, the black points, the buttons and
reinforce the teeth and the hair.

Résumé: The central Sahara of Algeria illuminate that the genius of man, that has made with the conditions it
faces, showed a revealing ingenious practices in operating, managing and sharing water. Knowledge and mastery
are the rule with striking illustrations remains today and thanks to the foggara, unprecedented system for
collecting and sharing water. That's where this study came to highlight the reality of agriculture, moreover,
related to the mobilization of water and controls its use. It seeks to avoid waste, maximize the return on and to
consider the alleged exploitation of vulnerable areas. Foggara system is condemned to disappear? Is it not the
prelude to extinction of a civilization that has marked the history of an area hyper arid? This does not
compromise it in the future, even the very existence of oasis areas experienced in everyday life?
Would it not be possible otherwise to beg for answers in the past, at a time when the development of the living
world has different requirements both quantitatively and qualitatively with regard to water?

Résumé: An immunohistochemical study of matrix metalloproteinases (MMP-3, MMP-7) was undertaken on
the seminal vesicle, prostate and vas deferens of Meriones libycus in order to verify their implication in the
cellular process of reproduction. Meriones libycus were collected from Beni-Abbes areas in the spring (breeding
period). The work was done using the indirect immunohistochemistry protocol by amplification with
streptavidin-biotin-peroxidase and AEC as chromogen. In the seminal vesicles, the MMP-3 and MMP-7 were
immunolocalized in epithelial cells and smooth muscle cells (SMC) without any immunostaining in the
extracellular matrix (ECM) and the secretion. In the ventral prostate, MMP-3 and MMP-7 immunoexpressions
were concentrated in the apical pole of the epithelial cells with a less immunoresponse in SMC and a lack of
immunoreactivity in the ECM. The not immunostained secretion was followed by empty circular areas of
variable size and was surrounded by a small amount of an immunolabelled material. This phenomenon reflected
a detachment of secretion allowing its movement in the tubules. In the dorsal prostate, there were as well the
epithelial cells whose produced MMP-3 and MMP-7 with an absence of MMP-3 and a slight MMP-7
immunoreaction in SMC; the secretion showed a strong immunolabelling. In the vas deferens, epithelial cells,
SMC and secretion were strongly immunostained. MMPs are involved in the flow of secretion in the ventral
prostate and are probably implicated in elaboration of secretion and subsequently in sperm maturation.

Résumé: The Sahara is characterized by extremely harsh and very restrictive conditions of soil and climate
not allowing the development as a cover adapted flora (lignified plants, halophytes, tough ...). In this
environment with scarce resources, the dromedary express remarkable capacity to adapt himself to make the
best use of available resources Saharan ecosystems. In fact it happens to survive, reproduce and even to
produce (meat, milk etc ....) In an extensivefarming method based entirely on the exploitation of these natural
Saharan pasture. This work is a synthesis of different characteristics digestive, behavioral and food of this
species all of which gives meaning to the concept of adaptability of camels to desert ecosystems. These faculties
of adaptation can be declined into two types of strategy: (i) a physiological strategy (storage, economic
losses, recycling), (ii) a behavioral strategy (ambulatory pasture spacing periods of watering, plant
selection, plant diversity of the diet). These strategies, together with the anatomical peculiarities of the animal
(flexible foot involving a small trampling, long neck allowing access to the upper layers of vegetation) make an
animal with low environmental impact.
