The original population of the study consisted of male and female students majoring Arabic at the university. The sample size included (475) male and female students who were selected randomly. A thirty-two item questionnaire was used in the data collection, representing the four hypotheses of what could be the reason for the emergence the phenomenon. They include the hypothesis of teaching-staff member, the hypothesis of the students, the hypothesis of the syllabus and the hypothesis of the teaching method.
