Titre: ÉTUDE DES CARACTÈRES LAITIERS ET DE L’ÉTAT SANITAIRE MAMMAIRE CHEZ DES BREBIS SICILO-SARDE ÉLEVÉES DANS LA RÉGION DE BÉJA (TUNISIE)

Résumé: This work examines the evaluation of both the quantitative and qualitative dairy performance of Sicilo-Sarde ewes from dairy controls, and udder health from direct cellular screening by Individual Cell Count (CCI) and indirect testing by the Californian Mastitis Test (CMT). This study focused on a sample of 48 sheep, representing about 15% of the total number of animals, in the UCPA Gnadil in the Beja region of northern Tunisia. Ewes were milked twice daily by a mechanical pot machine.

The average of milk yield during a 175-day milking period was 133 ± 43 l after a lactation phase that lasted an average of 56 days (± 6.6). At the end of lactation, exactly at the 25th and 29th weeks of lactation, the qualitative analyzes of the milk essentially revealed that the average values of the fat, protein, lactose and total dry extract were respectively 8, 5, 6.0, 4.6 and 19.9%. The results of the CMT test recorded the occurrence of some cases of subclinical mastitis of the order of 3%, while the average CCI increased from 463400 cells / ml to reach 788100 cells / ml at the end of lactation.

Résumé: This research paper aims to analyze empirically one of the fundamental dimensions of date production technology: The plantation density of palms. Our study area is the entire region of Biskra (Algeria). We used an extensive database of 21 503 date producers distributed in 33 municipalities, to reveal the regularities present in our region. The analysis shows that the distribution of tree planting density is heterogeneous over a very wide spectrum. After a statistical investigation by an analysis of variance followed by a test of less significant differences resulting in a classification of the municipal communes, a zoning is derived in order to depict the differential of date tree density over the totality of the region. This differential is explained by two region-specific factors: the presence of irrigation water sources and joint-products crops.

Résumé: The camel is the only species to adapt to the harsh ecological Saharan and also remains a potential provider of animal protein. The study focused on the Ghardaïa region through two areas Metlili and Zelfana, both renowned for camel breeding par excellence. Of the 293 registered camel drivers, 56 were approached as well as 08 owners of specialized farms through semi-structured interviews. Following field investigations, three types of camel breeding systems are to be considered ; whether they embody a system on a course or in (temporary) stabling, the fundamental traits of each are highlighted at a time when the emergence of the specialized camel "dairy" system begins to take shape.
