Auteur(s): Benkhedir Nadia Habiba; Chaib Mohamed Saci
Résumé: This article reports the findings of a study that sought to investigate the effect of a training in self&#xD;
regulated learning strategies following Zimmerman’s (2000) cyclical model on post graduate university&#xD;
students’ reported use of these strategies during test preparation. The sample consisted of 37 post&#xD;
graduate students in an Algerian university. The findings show that a training of four 90 mn sessions was&#xD;
able to foster the participants’ use of two forethought phase strategies, one performance control phase&#xD;
strategy and two self reflection phase strategies

      <description>Titre: The Development of Discourse Analysis
Auteur(s): Malika Kouti
Résumé: Many researchers have been interested in analysing discourse. Discourse analysis has been a result of a&#xD;
number of research works from different perspectives. It has attracted attention from different disciplines since the&#xD;
late 1960s (Celce-Murcia &amp; Olshtain, 2000). To this end, the aim and the focus of this paper is to shed some light on&#xD;
the development of discourse analysis through the contributions of various approaches, specifically the works of&#xD;
Halliday, Crystal and Davy, Halliday and Hasan, Widdowson, Coulthard, Sinclair and Coulthard, de Beaugrande&#xD;
and Dressler and others

      <title>The Black Woman’s Tragic Triad: Morrison’s Beloved</title>
      <link>https://dspace.univ-ouargla.dz/jspui/handle/123456789/28061</link>
      <description>Titre: The Black Woman’s Tragic Triad: Morrison’s Beloved
Auteur(s): Assia Guidoum; Mohammed Seghir Halimi
Résumé: Toni Morrison is one of the African American writers who reflect the difficult situation of black Americans&#xD;
during the era of slavery and even after abolition. She focuses more on the black woman as she is dehumanized and&#xD;
oppressed by the white men, the white women and even by the black men. In her novel ‘Beloved’, Morrison draws&#xD;
beautiful though painful images of heroism, bravery and resistance that black women demonstrate in front of&#xD;
segregation and prejudice. It is Sethe’s story, a mother who kills her baby in order to protect her from having a&#xD;
miserable future, being a slave.&#xD;
In the light of Viktor Frankl’s ‘Tragic Triad’, the current paper explains the relation between the three poles&#xD;
of the triad ‘Death, Pain, Guilt’ and the way they meet at Sethe’s hiatus. Sethe’s reaction is to fly away mentally&#xD;
where she sticks to one single scene where death, pain and guilt intersect. The paper aims at clarifying the link&#xD;
between the triad pillars and Sethe’s decision to be cowered within her past murder. It also aims at clarifying how&#xD;
she strives to find meaning within her trauma despite the feelings of pain and guilt so that she can remain alive.
