Abstract: The problems of the marine environment are among the most important works that have been rased at the international and national levels , Because of the increasing threats to them , especially with the beginning of the industrial revolution , and the increase of scientific discoveries and the negative effects it has on humans and its negative effects on human beings and other beings ,it was obligatory for all coastal coutries to pass environmental legislation guaranteeing the preservation of the specificity of the marine envronment , including Algeria ,as a coastal country overlooking the Mediterranean . This study aims to shed light on the concept of the marine environment , as well as to clarify the role of the Algerian legistlator in taking charge of its criminal protection , by showing the various legal means and procedures to reduce the attacks against them
