Abstract: Have a natural source of water quality for human consumption, has now become a strategic concern for the world. In fact, drinking water resources in developing countries are almost non-existent, as overused or polluted by intense human activity. The study that we propose aims: to develop a natural filter reduces turbidity and eliminates pathogensto humans. The process developed inexpensive should minimize the use of chemical reagents, and minimize any human intervention; horizontal sand filtration that uses the natural process of water purification occurring in an aquifer can be regarded as the process water treatment most suitable for developing countries and meets the objectives.
