The article aims; to clarify the security dimension of the problem of water scarcity and how it can affect human security in many ways.

The article concludes; that water will play a pivotal role in the future of humankind and that its scarcity will bring many problems and conflicts. This requires concerted efforts and mechanisms to contain the dangers of water scarcity on human security.
