dc.description.abstractAll oil companies aspire to achieve optimal and sustainable productivity by applying the new technics in the oil field. In the other hand HMD field presents several exploitation problems (depletion, salt deposits…), which decreases the productivity of the wells. In order to solve these problems, a new completion called "parallel completion" has been developed specifically for the HMD field to ensure optimization of water and gas injection simultaneously and separately (water for desalinating and GAS-LIFT for lighting the production column) eliminating therefor the drawbacks of the completions already used for this kind of problems, our study focuses on:  Criteria of choosing a well candidate for the parallel completion.  The methodology for selecting a candidate well for such a completion.en_US
