Abstract

Ali Al-Bader's novel "The Lamps of Jerusalem: A Novel on Edward Said" was a model in which we can show the transformation of Jerusalem and its concept within the narrative text, but how the narrative contributes to the reconstruction of the urban geography that colonialism has turned into its own province. How successful is Ali al-Badr in exploiting post-colonialist narratives in the narrative? How did Edward Said's case turn into an icon of narrative, in which the narrator reconstructs the urban geography of Jerusalem?
