The cereal sector, particularly durum, increasingly subject to adverse climatic conditions causing significant salt stress which is often a hindrance to any Improvement action. The objective of this work is to test the effect of mycorrhizal durum wheat by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi of two brown and black morphotype isolated from two palm groves of Ouargla (Kser and mekhadma) under salt stress conditions. Through this study an analysis of the morphological and biochemical processes including leaf length; chlorophyll content, proline contents and soluble sugars of the plants were carried out. The results obtained show that the inoculation considerably increases the leaf growth, the proline and soluble sugar contents, whereas it reduces their chlorophyll content under salt stress. Indeed the inoculation of plants presents an alternative to try to solve the salinity problems for which durum wheat is confronted. |
