Abstract: Alluvial groundwater are very important water resources but they are more vulnerable to pollution. This study consists in determining the intrinsic degrees of vulnerability to all types of potential pollution of the alluvial groundwater of Tamanrasset Two methods were used to characterize the vulnerability of the alluvial groundwater to pollution: DRASTIC and GOD. Vulnerability mapping was done using the Surfer software. The established maps highlighted different classes of vulnerability. The map obtained by the GOD method made it possible to distinguish a medium-vulnerability zone located in the center and occupies a large part of the study area characterized by a low aquifer depth and permeable sandy formations. A class with high vulnerability observed at north, east and south of the zone The DRASTIC map shows that there are two classes of vulnerability, the area of low vulnerability occupies the North and the zone of very low vulnerability located in the center and extends to the South of the zone. The study of vulnerability to pollution is a tool for contributes to more sustainable management of natural resources, managing water resource risks, monitoring water quality, and updating resource data.
