Abstract: This article shed a light on the characteristics of traditional desert architecture that was embodied by those ksor speed throughout it where we notice the genius of the human being of that region in the field of architecture and artistic creativity and one of the most stuning of these palaces is the old palace of Ouargla. An architectural adornment located in the heart of the capital of the oases that was named in the past by Warglan Warklan and it was known yesterday by Waddi miya. Till it calls today ouargla this original architectural masterpiece was originally created with local materials culture and local technology which responds to the climatic characteristics of the region and to customs and traditions that are in line with the Islamic religion the palace is a coherent urban fabric was built on a hill in the middle of an oasis of palm trees surrounded by a fence with seven gates historians were not certain on the origin of this ksar and it is more likely that it was built in the past and developed over time and because of the arrival of new elements to the region so the ancient ksar became like the early Islamic cities
