Abstract: The internal corrosion phenomena affecting the desalination system pipelines and the collection network for the crude producing wells can only be of an electrochemical or bacterial nature, and caused by the contact of liquid water with the wall of the pipeline. The risk of corrosion depends primarily on the water content of the fluids transported; and the contamination of this water with reducing sulphate bacteria BSR. The shape and rate of corrosion then depend on the oxidizing power of the medium, the proliferation of bacteria, the protection of corrosion deposits and hydrodynamics...
