Abstract: The need for renewal is a natural requirement imposed by the laws of life, just as reverence for the old is a feeling inherent inthe human soul, and these two rules often confront human thought. This is what happened in the criticism of ancient Arab poetry. After the emergence of the modern stream of poetry, all critics of its supporters came to each direction. Critics of the Kairouan School discussed the issue and had rational opinions expressing their open thinking and the modernity of their critical visions
