An epistemological reading of the dialectic of science and ideology in the humanities

Abstract

In this article, we will try to present an epistemological reading of the dialectic between science and ideology in the field of the human sciences, using the science of history as an example. In doing so, we try to study the science of history as an archaeological study through which we carve out biases and draw the limits of science in it, relying on the analytical and critical approach in view of the nature and specificity of the historical incident as it is not recoverable and reconstructed. This is what made the study of history science a study that needs a lot of epistemic depth - The epistemology to achieve the scientific spirit, and since the subject in the human sciences and in history science in particular is the study and the subject of the study at the same time, it was and is still questionable at times, and doubts at another time among specialists in the epistemological field - defenders or skeptics - about the possibility of studying it in a scientific study Away from prejudice or rhetoric replete with ideological backgrounds. That is why this study will show us the features of prejudice and ideological discourse in the readings, explanations and interpretations provided by historians during their work on the history of historical events, and the study has concluded that achieving complete objectivity in the science of history as one of the human sciences is a distant matter and remains relative from one historian to another, but this matter should be Does it not make us accept that the science of history is biased in nature?
