Abstract: | This article aims to shed light on the psychological living of a pregnant woman during the quarantine period and its effects on her mental health, by presenting a clinical case of a pregnant woman at the beginning of the spread of the disease in Algeria. We conducted a clinical interview with her, and the Beck Depression Scale, the Event Impact Scale (IES-R), and the Skype Status Anxiety Scale were applied. The results revealed that strict respect for preventive instructions and adherence to quarantine have a negative effect on the psychological state of pregnant women and led to psychological problems as depression, anxiety, symptoms of posttraumatic anxiety, cleaning mania, aggressive, and phobia. |
