Abstract: The study aims to identify the methods of managing psychological stress commonly used by physical education and sports teachers; it also aims to reveal the dominant personality traits of teachers; and finally to determine the nature, direction and importance of the relationship between the two variables, methods of confrontation and personality traits. The study sample was composed of 102 secondary school teachers, a scale of stress management methods and a scale of the five main personality factors were distributed to them, also a descriptive approach was adopted in this study. The most important results are: physical education and sports teachers use methods to deal with psychological stress with a moderate degree, and the most used methods are emotion-focused methods; the results of the study also showed that physical education and sports teachers have average levels of personality traits according to the list of the five big personality factors. The results of this study also showed statistically significant direct correlational relationships between methods and factors of confrontation (extroversion, openness to experience, kindness, awareness) and a statistically significant inverse correlation between methods of confrontation and neuroticism.
