Abstract: This study has dealt with the basic role of educational institutions and its contributions in protecting Algerian youth from drug addiction, which is: family, school, mosque and media. The aim of this study is to know the role of each institution separately, and to try to find common points to unify roles and tasks, and to combine them as long as the desired goal is one, which is to reduce the phenomenon of drug addiction. In the end, it concluded that the goal is still ink on paper, like other demands that have not yet been heard, and efforts are still scattered and not united. So I preferred to follow the approach of studying each educational institution separately, explaining what this institution is and its role in protecting the young man from addiction, and ended it with a conclusion that includes a summary of the topic, and a proposal for a set of recommendations.
