Assessing the Effectiveness of E-learning Through Moodle Platform Among EFL Learners and Teachers of KMU

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of using the Moodle platform among second year master students of English, which was adopted by the Faculty of English at the University of Kasdi Merbah, Ouargla during the Corona pandemic since the year 2020. This study was managed through the use of a Mixed Methods approach to guarantee the most conveying outcomes.This study was conducted using an electronic questionnaire containing four main sections that were answered by a sample of (47) students, in addition to an audio recorded interview with (6) professors to answer the study questions. The results indicate that Moodle platform has been only used to download courses and that it effectively serves its purpose if it is studied and if the users and students are provided with electronic capabilities, training, and instructions for its effective use.

Cette étude visait à examiner l'efficacité de l'utilisation de la plateforme Moodle chez les étudiants de deuxième année en master d'anglais, qui a été adoptée par la Faculté d'anglais de l'Université de Kasdi Merbah, Ouargla pendant la pandémie de Corona depuis l'année 2020. Cette étude a été gérée par l'utilisation d'une approche de méthodes mixtes pour garantir les résultats les plus porteurs.Cette étude a été menée à l'aide d'un questionnaire électronique contenant quatre sections principales auxquelles ont répondu un échantillon de (47) étudiants, en plus d'un entretien enregistré avec (6) professeurs pour répondre aux questions de l'étude. Les résultats indiquent que la plate-forme Moodle n'a été utilisée que pour télécharger des cours et qu'elle remplit efficacement son objectif si elle est étudiée et si les utilisateurs et les étudiants disposent de capacités électroniques, d'une formation et d'instructions pour son utilisation efficace.

هدفت هذه الدراسة إلى فحص فاعلية استخدام منصة موودل لدى طلاب السنة الثانية ماجستير اللغة الإنجليزية ، والتي اعتمدتها كلية اللغة الإنجليزية بجامعة قاصدي مرباح بورقلة خلال جائحة كورونا منذ عام 2020. تمت إدارة هذه الدراسة من خلال استخدام منهج الأساليب المختلطة لضمان النتائج الأكثر فعالية. أجريت هذه الدراسة باستخدام استبيان إلكتروني يحتوي على أربعة أقسام رئيسية أجاب عليها عينة قوامها (47) طالباً بالإضافة إلى مقابلة صوتية مسجلة مع (6) أساتذة للإجابة على أسئلة الدراسة. تشير النتائج إلى أن منصة موودل قد تم استخدامها فقط لتنزيل الدروس التدريبية وأنها تخدم غرضها بشكل فعال إذا تمت دراستها وإذا تم تزويد المستخدمين والطلاب بالقدرات الإلكترونية والتدريب والتعليمات لاستخدامها الفعال.
