Trauma and psychosomatic disorder Afield study of a case with psoriasis

Abstract

The current study aims at revealing the major manifestations of psychological trauma of a patient with psoriasis. She was interviewed during her hospitalization in the dermatology department at Mustafa Pacha University hospital of Algiers, through the use of the clinical approach with case study as a method, in addition to the reliance on the data of the clinical interview, and Rorschach test in comprehensive system, for the aim of identifying the major events and traumatic experiences that were lived during different periods of her life . Through the analysis of the results of the study tools, we found that the patient having psoriasis has psychological suffering related to a traumatic experience lived, which contributed in the appearance and aggravation of the symptoms of her disease.
