Evaluation of the Role of the Arab Gulf Lobby in the Middle East Conflicts

Abstract

The study focuses on how the Arab Gulf Lobby affects conflicts in the Middle East, with a particular emphasis on the Palestinian conflict. Through an examination of political, economic, and diplomatic aspects, the study seeks to clarify how the lobby affects regional dynamics and the conflict between Israel and Palestine.It investigates the historical background of the Arab Gulf lobby in the USA, assesses its influence in the Middle East, and evaluates its role in the Palestinian issue. The sample consisted of a Political Sciences expert from Kasdi Merbah University, Ouargla, who provided insights through an interview about the lobby's effectiveness in regional politics, alliance formation, and support for the Palestinian cause. The research also analyzed archival documents The findings fro the interpretation of the interview and the analysis of the archival document, indicate that the Arab Gulf lobby uses professional lobbyists, significant financial resources, and strategic initiatives to influence United Nations decisions and regional politics. It plays a crucial role in mediating peace negotiations and reducing tensions by forming alliances and leveraging relationships with Israel. Although the lobby faces challenges in garnering broad support, it bridges regional divides through energy policy and geopolitical engagement. Balancing advocacy for Palestinian rights with maintaining relationships with Western allies proves challenging, as the lobby often prioritizes Gulf states' interests. The lobby's success in gaining international support for the Palestinian cause varies, influenced by geopolitical alliances, diplomatic efforts, and public opinion.

L'étude se concentre sur l'impact du lobby arabe du Golfe sur les conflits au Moyen- Orient, en mettant particulièrement l'accent sur le conflit palestinien. À travers un examen des aspects politiques, économiques et diplomatiques, l'étude cherche à clarifier comment le lobby affecte les dynamiques régionales et le conflit entre Israël et la Palestine. Elle examine les antécédents historiques du lobby arabe du Golfe aux États-Unis, évalue son influence au Moyen-Orient et analyse son rôle dans la question palestinienne.
