Investigating Accuracy of Translation in the Catalogue of Marketed Refrigerants in Algeria Case Study LG Refrigerants

Abstract

A refrigerator is one of the most important household appliances. It cools food and drinks by pumping a liquid refrigerant through a sealed system, causing it to evaporate and take heat from the fridge. Refrigerators have advanced to the point that they can be operated by phones. Each one has its own catalogue written in two or three languages. Translating catalogue is a crucial process that provides clients with detailed information.Translation of this type is amongst the challenging texts for translators that demands competency and raising awareness in order to produce the adequate equivalence in the target language.The study therefore, attempts at investigating accuracy of translation in the LG Catalogue of in Algeria and shedding light on the technical terms whether the translators may have succeeded or failed to translate them

Un réfrigérateur est l’un des appareils électroménagers les plus importants. Il refroidit les aliments et les boissons en pompant un réfrigérant liquide à travers un système scellé, le faisant s'évaporer et absorber la chaleur du réfrigérateur. Les réfrigérateurs ont progressé au point qu’ils peuvent être controlés par téléphone. Chacun possède son propre catalogue rédigé en deux ou trois langues. La traduction du catalogue est un processus crucial qui fournit aux clients des informations détaillées. La traduction de ce type fait partie des textes difficiles pour les traducteurs qui exigent des compétences et une sensibilisation afin de produire l'équivalence adéquate dans la langue cible. L'étude tente donc d'enquêter sur l'exactitude de traduction dans le catalogue LG d'Algérie et faire la lumière sur les termes techniques si les traducteurs ont réussi ou échoué à les traduire

تعتبر الثلاجة من أهم الأجهزة المنزلية.حيث تعمل على تبريد الطعام والمشروبات عن طريق ضخ سائل التبريد من خلال نظام مغلق مما يؤدي إلى تبخره. تم تطوير المبردات الى ان اصبح يمكن التحكم بها عن طريق الهاتف. كما تحتوي كل واحدة على كتالوج خاص بها مترجم الى لغة او ثلاثة . اذ تعتبر ترجمة الكتالوج عملية مهمة لتزود الزبائن بمعلومات مفصلة حول المنتوج و كيفية استخدامه. يأخذ المترجم وظيفة الوسيط الذي يجب أن ينقل النص الأصل بأمانة للمتلقي. كما تعد ترجمة هذا النوع من النصوص الصعبة للمترجمين حيث تھدف إلى إبراز الاستراتيجيات التي يستعين بھا المترجم لإنتاج المكافئ الأنسب للغة الھدف والغاية من استعمالھما لسد الثغرات التي تتكون بين الأنظمة اللغوية المختلفة وھذا ما يجعل عملية الترجمة من أكثر العمليات تعقيدا و صعوبة.
