Abstract: Adolescence constitutes a crucial phase in an individual's life, where students face significant challenges related to physical and mental growth, as well as the formation of personal identity. Success holds paramount importance during this stage, especially academically, as students dedicate themselves to passing the Baccalaureate exams. However, academic failure can lead to noteworthy psychological repercussions for students in this phase. This study aims to assess the level of identity disturbance among adolescents experiencing academic setbacks in the Baccalaureate, shedding light on its impact on their psychological well-being. The study included a sample of 40 male and female Baccalaureate repeaters from two secondary schools in M'sila during the academic year 2017/2018. The descriptive-analytical approach was employed along with Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Nouri Mahmoud's Identity Disturbance Scale. Statistical methods encompassed mean, standard deviation, percentile, T. TEST, and Cronbach's Alpha. The findings indicate a moderate level of identity disturbance among these adolescents.
